One of so many reasons why I don’t miss reading physical books is the fact that just like with the physical books, you can actually lend and borrow Kindle ebooks to and from anyone you choose. The amazing difference between them is, of course that when you’ve loaned or borrowed kindle ebooks, you’ll definetely get or return those Kindle ebooks back right on time.
Just the other day, I recommended a friend (let’s call him John) to read some of my business Kindle ebooks. John owns neither a tablet nor a Kindle. Then again, he, as the borrower, doesn’t have to. The only two things he’ll have to do to be able to read those loaned Kindle ebooks are downloading and installing one or more of the Free Kindle Reading Apps. He did and now, he can read both the loaned Kindle ebooks and those that he has purchased himself.
So, if you also want to lend or borrow Kindle ebooks to and from anyone you choose, follow the following instructions below. However, there are also some lending and borrowing rules that you’ll have to take into consideration:
- A Kindle ebook can only be loaned one time.
- Only eligible Kindle ebooks are currently available for lending.
- Magazines and newspapers are currently not available for lending.
- The borrower has 7 days to accept your leading’s offer.
- If the lending’s offer is not accepted after seven days, the Kindle ebook will become available in your Kindle Library. You will be able to loan the Kindle ebook again.
- You can lend a Kindle book to anyone for up to 14 days.
- During the loan period (of those 14 days), you will not be able to read the Kindle ebook that you loaned.
